Yes he is! The 23-year old actor-musician said during an interview and is currently in the country for a 2-day sold-out show over the weekend. He said his mother is from Cebu and that the Philippines is a cool place. He considers his Filipino friends as the coolest.
Criss rose to stardom after joining the US hit show Glee grabbing the role of Blaine, an “out-and-proud” student from a rival school who serves as mentor to Kurt as he survives being bullied at school. There are rumors that he’s going to be his love interest according to Glee creator Ryan Murphy.
His rendition of Katy Perry’s song “Teenage Dream”, hit #1 on the Billboard charts, selling over 200,000 copies in its first week. It has created a new record because it’s the first time a Glee track reached the #1 spot and for being the fastest selling track to date. Watch the video below:
