[K-Drama - Secret Garden] Kim Joo-Won's "Look of Love"

"Wish you can look at me like that when I'm sleeping"

Owwww! The ending scene for Episode 12 of Korean drama Secret Garden is so sweet. I feel that Kim Joo-Won’s stare can melt the icebergs in Antarctica hehehe (just exaggerating). Although he is still uncertain of his feelings for Ra-Im, we the viewers can certainly tell that he truly loves her and she’s not just a past-time as he suggests to his mother.

The entire stunt team went to Joo-Won’s villa or hotel and Jong-Soo’s assistant acted as if it was by accident that they met Joo-Won there. When night came, everybody did their own thing while Ra-Im was sleeping on the floor with only a jacket covering her body so when he came for her he was dismayed.

A gentleman that he is (really?), he snatched one blanket from a sleeping stunt man to cover Ra-Im and another one for him to lie on. He laid on the floor on his side and stared at the sleeping Ra-Im who at one point frowned while sleeping her eyebrows almost touching.

He even imitated her frown then poked her forehead. That’s when she woke up and was surprised to see him on her side watching her sleep. I think she’s starting to realize her feelings for him as they held each other’s stare and they talked with their minds.

"Aaaahhh! You're super sweet Joo-Won"

Last part narration:

JW : In your dreams what is so troubling?

RI: In my dreams, you are there.

JW: With me, even in your dreams is it impossible/hard to be happy?

RI: Even so I want you to continue appearing in my dreams, tomorrow… and for a long time more.

Okay now that’s one of the sweetest things he has done for her and hopefully there’s a lot more to come. His perseverance and the way he chases (well I’d rather say stalking) her has already paid off as she’s started to see him in a different light. Let’s just hope that his mother won’t make it that difficult for them.

Sigh! Oh God! What a sight for sore eyes! Thank God he’s not wearing the sparkly boxers, HAHAHA! Binnie is on the pages of Cosmopolitan magazine this December and look at how H.O.T. his photos came out. When I saw the shaving scene in Secret Garden where he’s only wearing his pants I didn’t really find his body that nice and muscular (unlike Kwon Sang Woo’s) but this photos did just that.

[K-Drama - Secret Garden] Oska's New Love?

"Don't fall for her 'coz you'll get hurt!"

Now that’s what I call “the look of love!” Looks like Oska’s falling for our favorite girl! This scene is from episode 11 and the duo went rock climbing to practice for his upcoming commercial.

Oska was looking intently at Ra-Im while she’s taping his fingers to prep him for the climb when she caught him looking at her. He teased her to cover up for his embarrassment and she got back at him by taping his fingers tightly making him shriek and was in awe when he saw the wall they’ll be climbing.

This scene was funny and downright hilarious because parts of the sauna scene was shown again and there’s some butt-touching action. Ra-Im accidentally touched his butt when she tried reaching for the chalk behind him. Both were shocked from the contact and he even told her that she can touch the other side. She remembers the sauna scene and told him that she saw more than that. The clueless Oska thought she was talking about the picture with Cha Rin.

Joo-Won needs to exert more effort now that Oska has started showing signs of affection for Ra-Im. I say you’re one lucky girl, Ra-Im sshi!

[K-Drama - Secret Garden] Another Kiss:0

Avid followers of Korean weekend drama Secret Garden starring Hyun Bin andHa Ji Won are in for a treat in Episode 11. It is the scene where Gil Ra-Im goes to Kim Joo-Won’s home to confront him about what he told Jong-Soo to distance himself from her. He told her how he advised him not to confess his feelings for her so as not to complicate things.

She got mad at him and turns to leave when he grabbed and kissed her while holding her face. She resisted but was overpowered by a then jealous Joo-Won who after the kiss told her not to come to him because of another guy.

The tension between the two was witnessed by Oska who urged Ra-Im to kick him. In the end, Oska took Ra-Im home while Joo-Won looked at them leaving his home.

My, my, my! Looks like the love triangle between the three is already starting and I can sense trouble is brewing on the side. Sorry for the quality of the photos but I will try to replace them with clearer ones once I get hold of a clearer video. Your comments are deeply appreciated, Thanks!

Hyun Bin, The Comedian

Me, serious? Yeah Right!

The Korean drama Secret Garden is halfway into airing its episodes and we have already seen a lot of funny scenes from its lead actor Hyun Bin who plays the character of a rich department store president Kim Joo Won. He became one of my favorite Korean actors since I saw him in the drama My Name Is Kim Sam Soon. When I learned that he was chosen for this role in Secret Garden, I have been eagerly awaiting for its premiere and the drama didn't disappoint me.

Unlike other blogs or websites posting previews and recaps of each episode, I'll posting the highs and lows, funny and sad, irritating and amusing sides of this drama. Let me focus first with Hyun Bin who have managed to capture my attention every time I watch the show. I've decided to post photos (in jpeg and gif format) to show you how natural he is as a comedian.

Episode 1

After the character introductions and as the drama unfold its story, I saw a couple of scenes that really made me laugh besides the scene where Joo Won was showing the horrified Gil Ra Im the label of his sequined track suit.

Episode 2

The scene where he was talking on the phone with his mother and him telling her his ideal girl is also funny especially when he imagines Gil Ra Im sitting next to him. His facial expression here is priceless.

Another thing that I've noticed about him in this drama is that every time he is anxious or uncomfortable, he says something that sounded like a tongue twister to me. I researched this online and found a romanized version (credit to: kjtdramasblogged) and used Google to translate it.

When the staff at the action school mistook him as an applicant and asked him what are his skills, he told them that he is good at making money and spending it wisely. Also, the part where he tries to corner Gil Ra Im so they can talk is a must see.

Episode 3

There are 2 things I found funny from this episode. First is the introduction of a new track suit (#2), yes a new one, and it’s a shiny leopard-print pair whose origin was not mentioned.

Second is the “sit-up scene” which is one of my most favorite part from this drama for the obvious reason, an almost kiss! I gasped when Joo Woon did the sit-up correctly and thought that he intends to kiss her but he only looked into her eyes. He even had the nerve to tease her about when she got pretty when he saw how flustered and uncomfortable Gil Ra Im is in their position. When Joo Won was having dinner with his family, I noticed 3 neon colored markers on his left breast pocket and I was like “what was he thinking?”

This is the part where Joo Won and Gil Ra Im switched bodies after drinking a liquid from the woman at the forest. The morning after was hilarious their horrified facial expressions are priceless.

Episode 6

The reality of them swapping bodies has gotten both of them into situations that were funny and hilarious. They kissed while sitting at an outdoor bench thinking it would bring them back to their bodies was amusing. (photo credit: as shown)

As Joo Won and Ra Im both live their own lives there’s a scene where she had difficulty guessing the code to his home’s door. Her encounter with Oska was hilarious as he frisks her body looking for the car key.

Woah! I think I’m getting a hang of Hyun Bin acting all girlish in this episode. His cuteness has me smiling everytime I think of his reaction during the accidental lip lock with Oska and when he fainted upon seeing Oska’s “You-know-what?” at the sauna.

These are the funny scenes of Hyun Bin in the drama. I’m supposed to be posting videos along with the photos but it’s taking me some time to download all the episodes online. SBSi has been very fast in removing every video of Secret Garden in YouTube that I still have to find ways of downloading those10 episodes on other streaming sites.
